EDP Solar Energy solutions​

  • Solar systems without battery are dimensioned so that most energy is self-consumed and the remainder injected in the grid, usually without remuneration. Since it is legally required to register the equipment necessary to sell energy to the grid, selling is usually not profitable. If you want a solution considering the selling of excess energy, please let us know.
  • For the excess energy to be properly injected in the grid, it might be necessary to replace the meter. When you hire EDP Solar Energy services, we do that for you, leaving your system working properly.
  • The system does not work if there is a power outage, due to safety reasons.
  • It is normal for the instant production to be lower than the installed power.

This value is always inferior to the installed power.
This is normal and expected, and depends of factors such as injection power, climate conditions, and associated losses of the installation.
This was taken into account in the calculations presented.

The production curve will depend on climate conditions and on the installation place and characteristics, such as the orientation of the system.
