In 2006, monitoring has been carried on over climate, water levels and sedimentation. In what concerns hydrogeological monitoring of the area meant for the reservoir, special attention was given to measuring made next to urban areas, in order to have a close follow up of phreatic surface variations due to water filling. In the water filling and post water filling period attention was also given to monitoring and to stability of edge slopes and seismologic monitoring.

In the biotic element, Fauna Program was carried on, with collection in water filling and post-filling phases, with later release and monitoring. After the water filling of the reservoir, the fish ladder revealed total efficiency in the climbing of fish from low to rising tide. During water filling, works of ichthyofauna proceeded and the stages of production outset were followed by works of fish redemption.

Also, in the water filling phase, works of population safeguard were carried out. In the social-economic sphere, several actions were taken to mitigate and compensate social impacts in cities affected by population growth - due to the construction work of the hydroelectric exploitation - (health, education, security, leisure and sanitation), apart from environmental education and communication. Training was carried on with the aim of creating alternatives to produce rents for the phase after the end of the work in those cities.

The works of historical, cultural and archeological redemption were finished. Still in the social-economic sphere, in the reservoir area, five houses were implanted with total infrastructure for relodgement, and assistance works initiated in farming plantation. The Life Quality of relodged Population was launched. A Realodgement Development Plan was made together with different public institutions and with the community.

These relodgements were recognized by the National Colonization and Agrarian Reform Institute, which will give realodged communities the possibility to access to special financing programs with low interests for the Brazilian Government agriculture, making it easy the adaptation to the new reality. The Negotiation Forum meetings were carried on, as well as the activities of agrarian regularization. The rearrangement of the road network was concluded.
