In 1994 the Company adopted its Environment Policy which voluntarily lays down the environment as a management objective. In addition, EDP has been implementing affirmative mechanisms that are consistent with these principles in its activities, not only in Portugal but also abroad.

 

In 1997 EDP published its first Environment Report presenting environmental performance indicators.

 

Today EDP is strongly concerned with environmental communication and provides to its stakeholders detailed information about the most significant environmental issues related to its activities.
