Risk

For many years EDP has been governed by a culture of strong corporate innovation that is based on a set of sustainable development principles, in which risk management plays a dominant role. Controlled risk is, moreover, one of the strategic guidelines professed by EDP in its business plan.

The corporate policy for risk management was established in 2005. It defined the risk management principles operating in EDP and their governance structure. These actions represent an advance in that they express the greater maturity of the management system, which has been subject to a series of improvements. 
 
In terms of corporate risk management, EDP is today acclaimed for its good practices both at home and abroad.
