Ordinary Regime in Spain

As of December 2010, EDP operated 3,740 MW of installed electricity generation capacity. Net generation in 2010 from HC Energía ordinary regime generation capacity totaled 10,658 GWh.

The power stations operated under the ordinary regime in Spain can sell their electricity through bilateral contracts or in the pool. HC Energía's installed capacity is based on thermoelectric power stations and its Aboño and Soto de Ribera coal power stations are among the most efficient in the Iberian Peninsula.
