Development Program
The EDP Trainee Program comprises a number of corporate familiarisation initiatives aimed at ensuring the trainee’s rapid integration into the reality of EDP’s business.
The program is based on three essential pillars:
TRAINING. continuous learning
the training plan encompasses various training and induction courses aimed at enabling trainees to learn about EDP’s business, acquire specific knowledge about the energy sector and develop personal, technical and professional skills.
JOB ROTATION. learning about different business areas
in order to gain an understanding of the EDP Group as a whole, develop their technical knowledge and encourage networking, each trainee will work in three different business areas on a job rotation basis.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT. challenging tasks
in each of the three business areas, trainees have the opportunity to demonstrate their energy and potential by being involved in challenging projects that add value to the EDP Group.
In order to create a dynamic of feedback in real time and continuous learning and improvement, all trainees are monitored throughout the program by:
• A tutor: responsible for monitoring, guiding and assessing the trainee in the business area
• A mentor: responsible for monitoring, supporting and encouraging the trainee’s development throughout the program
The EDP Trainee Program includes a continuous and objective assessment process that makes it possible to validate the trainees’ potential.
