Safety guidelines
1. Safety, which is understood to be occupational safety, health and hygiene at facilities and of equipment and safety of the environment, is an integral part of the activity of the EDP Group companies and is visible in all decisions, planning, construction, operations, personnel management, procurement, customer relations and relations with suppliers and the general public.
2. Safety is an attitude and a will in each person's activity and takes the form of compliance with applicable standards, rules and instructions and initiative and contributions to its improvement.
3. At all times and in any situation, each company is responsible for running its activities with a target of "zero accidents" by constantly improving safety conditions at work and setting concrete goals for progress.
4. Safety is an inherent component of the responsibility of supervisors, who must enforce regulations, foster employee training and information and monitor the environment in which they work.
5. Safety at work must be achieved by systematic risk analysis involving employees, their representatives and service providers, where applicable, so that, when preparing the work, they identify and deal with all risks, which must be rendered acceptable.
6. The systematic investigation and analysis of incidents (accidents and near misses) are an essential condition of ongoing improvement in the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.
7. Safety procedures must be kept permanently up to date in accordance with existing risks and applicable local regulations.
