On May 27, 2010, Credit Suisse Group AG ("Credit Suisse") notified EDP to the decrease of a qualifying holding of 2.03% to 1.40% of the share capital of EDP. The change in participation was due to an off-market transaction, as a result of the disposal of  16,000,000 shares (0.438% of EDP's share capital) by Credit Suisse on May 21th, 2010.

As a result of this transaction, Credit Suisse now holds 51,309,107 shares, representing 1.40% of EDP's share capital and 1.42% of voting rights.
